Inspired by her AFS exchange in Germany, Mirela Hrnjić co-founded and led for a decade AFS in Bosnia and Herzegovina with an aim to promote intercultural learning and interethnic co-operation in her post-conflict country and beyond. She graduated from law school and is now pursuing Master of Laws degree in European Union law. Mirela works at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Mission to BiH in the role of a Programme Assistant within the Education Section that advocates for elimination of discriminatory policies and practices in BiH’s schools.
